This guide brings together booklists of children’s literature on a variety of themes and forms—such as women’s history, family types & situations, and artistic media. Each list highlights select titles from the library’s collections to help you quickly discover stories and resources for your coursework, teaching, or personal reading. Explore the tabs to find books, spark ideas, and connect with the materials you need—all in one place.

How Do I Navigate This Guide

You can navigate this guide using the tabs at the top of your screen, or by using the "Next" and "Previous" Arrows at the bottom of the screen. 

How Do I Find the Books in These Lists? 

Every book in these lists includes a hyperlink to either the Smiley Memorial Library Catalog or Libby (the latter in cases where titles are only available as eBooks). If you are interested in find one of these books, click the hyperlink to see the book's availability, location, and call number.
