MOBIUS is a giant catalog, containing millions of items from over 70 libraries across the American Midwest. You can use MOBIUS to request books from other libraries-- they'll be sent to Smiley Memorial Library for you to pick up. Delivery usually takes 3-5 business days.

Library Chat is available during the following days and times:

• Monday - Friday: 12:00am-4:00pm, 5:00pm-12:00am
• Saturday: 12:00am-8:00am, 10:00am-10:00pm

Library Catalog Search Tip

If you are searching for books addressing a particular situation or topic, give subject searching a try! 

When you are starting a search: 

1. Click the search field box to the left of the search bar (by default, this box will be set to Keyword). 

2. Choose "Subject."

3. Subjects follow a controlled vocabulary, meaning that standardized list of words and phases is used to organize records by subject. For example, a book that includes content about a child dealing with their parents' divorce might use the "Divorce--Juvenile Fiction" as a subject. Not sure what to search? The great news is that the Library catalog will make suggestions for you based on what you type into the search bar!

If you want to find more books similar to one that you have already found in the catalog: 

1. Click the title of the book to open up the record. 

2. Scroll down until you see a list of "Related Subjects." These subjects are formatted as links. Click one to start a new search based on that subject.
